There have been reports from Nepal about a boy who has been fasting and meditating for several months now. People are now asking - could this be the new Buddha? There are several coincidences - the boy is meditating under a peepal tree, his mothers name is Maya devi - all just like Gautam buddha.

Ram Bahadur Bamjan's friends, relatives and managers say he has been meditating without drinking water for six months now and that he will carry on for another six years until he gains enlightenment.
